Our Living World of Nature
I began this series of drawings and paintings in 2020 after I moved to the Black Mountains of North Carolina, a region where multiple generations on both sides of my family have lived.
I grew up visiting this area, and that’s when my love of the natural world was born. These images spring from a lifelong appreciation of “our living world of nature”. This also happens to be the title of a captivating 1966 series of books that I found in my grandparents’ home.
